I don't think so. The center dowel wouldn't be secure enough, and the entire cake would be too heavy for cardboard to support. Since the cake is top heavy, the center dowel needs to be very secure.

I was wondering if you think a couple of those round 16" round card board taped together you get at Michaels our hobby lobby would work as the base for the Elmo cake

As long as it's kept well sealed and in a cool place, fondant should easily keep for 2 weeks.

hello! am very happy to see this Elmo creation of yours! my son`s 3rd bday is upcoming, he loves Elmo, so i thought of giving him an Elmo themed bday party, am an amateur to the world of fondant, can i prepare the fondant let`s say 2 weeks ahead, wouldn`t that period of time ruin the fondant?

Hola Jonny,
Espero tu respuesta
Mil gracias

Hi, Jonny. Your cakes are amazing! My daughter's 2nd bday is coming up - probably too late to make that amazing Elmo cake, though... unless she'd take a pink Elmo!!! Where are you located? Keep up the great work!

In regards to warming it up to bring out a deeper colour, should i have done this when it was made...or will it still work if i warmed it just before i was to use it??
